THAI & KOREAN INSPIRED SHORT RIBS
Thinly cut short-ribs have been one of my favorite cuts of meat for a while. This recipe combines a mix of Thai and Korean flavors. Topped with green onions and Thai basil, this dish is perfect paired alongside a bowl of rice.
Ingredients:
-
1 1/2-2 lbs short ribs
-
1 tbsp brown sugar
-
1/2 small pear
-
1 tbsp white sugar
-
1 tbsp Fish Sauce
-
1 tbsp ginger (minced)
-
1/4 cup soy sauce
-
1 tbsp honey
-
5 cloves garlic (minced)
-
1 tbsp vegetable oil
-
1 tbsp Thai red chilis
-
1 bunch Thai basil
-
1 stalk green onions
-
Kosher salt to taste

Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients, excluding the thai basil and green onions, and let marinate for at least 1 hour.
2. Using a cast iron, or any other large pan, increase the heat to medium-high and add the vegetable oil.
3. Once oil is hot add your marinated short ribs. Cook roughly 4-5 minutes each side.
4. Once short-ribs are fully cooked, top with green onions and Thai basil. Serve with white rice.
